Important UPCOMING Events!

Wow! Congratulations! We have all made it through our first TWO FULL weeks of school! Yay! The students have been wonderful and teaching them has been such a joy for us.

So. What’s next? More school, of course! But. We also have some IMPORTANT upcoming events, and we want to be sure that you are in the loop!

JMS Open House

Our JMS Open House will be this Tuesday, September 7th at 6:30pm. There will be an opening presentation in the gym followed by an opportunity to walk through your child’s schedule.

While walking through the 6th grade hallway, you will find information about upcoming field trips/chaperoning, the “JMS Road Trip”, online HW and grades, HW Club, and binders. You will also have the opportunity to meet and greet with each of your child’s teachers.

6th grade SCIENCE U of I Pond Trip

The entire 6th grade will be attending the “Pond Field Trip” at the University of Illinois’ pond research facility on Wednesday, September 22nd. Further details will be available at the time of Open House and will be posted some time next week here on our blog. If you already know you might be available to chaperone on that day, please email a teacher on your child’s team so that we can begin a list.

6th grade SOCIAL STUDIES Spurlock Museum Field Trip

The Penguins/Orcas teams will be attending the “Spurlock Field Trip” on campu at the University of Illinois on Friday, October 1st. Further details will be available at the time of Open House and will be posted some time next week here on our blog. If you already kno you might be available to chaperone on that day, please email a teacher on your child’s team so that we can beging a list.
