IMPORTANT 4th Quarter DATES

TUESDAY, May 3rd is 6th grade Track and Field Day. Students will be eating a very early lunch from 10:20-10:50am. Homeroom teachers will pick up their class from the cafeteria and walk them directly outside to the High School track.

Track and Field Day is outdoors ALL afternoon. In previous years it has been sunny and very warm. We suggest you send your student to school with suncreen on that day.

We also ask parents to donate bottles of water and healthy snacks to their student’s HOMEROOM class as students are often thirsty and in need of a snack after all that running and hard work! Concessions are also available for extra food and snacks if you wish to send money with your child. Please bear in mind that they will be responsible for any money sent with them.

Please feel free and welcome to come out and watch our Track and Field Day events. It is one of the BEST days of the school year. The students really enjoy themselves, and it is wonderful to see so many excel outside the classroom walls.

FRIDAY, May 27th is our FINAL incentive trip of the year. We will be taking the students to SKATELAND on that Friday. The deadline to qualify for the end-of-the-year incentive is Tuesday, May 17th. Students must have NO Ds or Fs as overall grades, NO unserved detention time, and NO DRs for the 4th quarter.

The cost for entry is $3.00 with an additional $3.00 needed for skate rental. (Those students wishing to rent speed skates will need an additional $4.00 instead of $3.00 for skate rental.) Laser tag will also be available for an additional $4.00 per game. The snack area will be open and concessions available. However, this will be a morning field trip, and we will be back at school in time for lunch. Therefore, snacks are optional and also require additional money.

Again, please be aware that any additional money for games/food will be your child’s responsibility.

TUESDAY, May 31st will be our GAME DAY at the PARK, end-of-the-year event. More details will follow on this wonderful outdoor celebration.
